can anyone tell me another occupation where 90% of your competition is already at retirement age besides farming?
So are you exaggerating or are there really that many old guys in your area with no replacements?
I was at an edible bean grower meeting last month and looking around the room, I'd guess at least half of the crowd appeared to be under 40. I don't think there will be any trouble finding enough people to farm the ground here when the old guys are done.
