Subject: RE: bright future for young farmers

King City, Mo
Neighbor will turn 91 in a couple months, still farming and is outta the house checking cows before I am.

Dad bought 100hd of Hiefers a few weeks before he past away. I picked him up at the nursing home to go look at them and the guys came up to the nursing home to talk to him about the deal.

We lost too many old timers when they wanted to retire, move to town and enjoy themselves....they past away 2-3 years later...the ones that stayed on the farm and had a reason to get up and go and keep the mind turning lived longer.

How many dads or grandpas are still holding the check book?
