Where I live I am seeing more and more people who have retired early from other occupations buying land and beginning to farm. They may have had jobs inside their whole life and always dreamed of farming and now they are giving it a try. They have money in the bank and most don't seem to care about losing any money.
I know most won't ever be big producers, but some are doing O.K.
