NE South Dakota Clark, SD | It is too bad your dealer did not make you aware of the Software Assurance. Every quote I do has it spelled out. It is optional and not required. However, I feel it is a good investment to keep your software current. Most professional computer software has some sort of maintenance plan. Those that do not, require you buy new software every so many years to get the current version. I feel $475 per year is pretty reasonable vs rebuying $6-15,000 software every 5 years. If your dealer will not offer any support without the agreement, I offer support by the hour for customers that are not covered by Software Assurance. I used to do all phone support for free, sometimes for people who bought somewhere else. I can no longer afford to continue this, my time is valuable and I need to apply my time towards my customers, whether they bought from me or not. |
