The extension does exist. If this link doesn't work, look in the electrical section of the 1790 on jdparts.com

I think you have to click on "4" to bring up the extension pic. It's labeled there.
Edit. Lame, it doesn't work now. I googled "1790 frame control box harness extension" and it popped up.
