A big factor is going to be just how well it is wrapped. If it is in shrink wrap plastic it will last a lot longer that if wrapped in "freezer paper".
As mentioned the quality just keeps getting worse and it dries out and gets "freezer burn". Probably won't kill you, but not very good meat.
