Central Ohio
I am running Parallels 9 on a 2007 MacBook with 4 gb of ram with Windows 7 and SMS. I recommend it if you have the horsepower, mainly RAM. Max it out.

Parallels 9 is great, much better than VMware Fusion in my opinion as it always gave me fits.

My computer is just too old and not enough RAM (I never thought I would say 4 gb of ram would be too little. I was deciding between 2 and 4 mb on our first computer!) to run this setup in a pleasing fashion. Just got it all installed this winter as a trial, and seems to want to work, but need more POWER!

I am upgrading soon to a newer Macbook pro, but am going to buy a year old refurbished 2.9 ghz i7. It will be one that I can buy 16 gb of RAM on amazon for $160 and put it in and buy a 480 gb SSD and put in it. Should be screamin'. The brand new Macbook pros are all glued and soldered together and you can't update them yourselves.
