| And yet there's a lot more to it. If that was all it took your dealer would package these $75 units up and sell them for $2000. That's a huge discount from the $5000 nav.
I strongly feel that many customers view GPS the same way many people from the city view farmers. It's nothing worth paying for because it's simple and easy. All a farmer does is drive a tractor, he has no knowledge or skills to speak of. "Just a farmer", not worth paying more for anything because anyone could do it.
Obviously that is extremely wrong. I get asked if I ever want to farm myself, and no, I do not. There is far too much with crop rotations, application times, farm management etc etc that I do not want to do it, nor do I think I honestly could. But until you understand what is involved, it looks a whole lot simpler than it really is. I think this is the same issue with GPS. Guys get the jist of it, but don't understand it completely. As such, the GPS seems a lot simpler than it really is. | |
