| Back when we had a IH # 45 & then a 4600 f'c' we always ran 7" sweeps. Tried 9" once and I felt they chunked the ground too much. Later on we we went to the DMIs & CIH/DMIs we switched to using Nichol's "Knock-on" Ultra-wings. Have tried other brands but nothing seemed to last as long as the Ultra-wings. Just ordered a set of their hard faced Ultra-wings for our Krause soil finisher. We normally go thru two sets of shovels a year and hope the hard faced shovels will last the entire year. | |
