NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | My insurance agent stopped by this past week to go over my insurance policy. Somehow the subject of drones came up and he said he had recently bought one from Verizon for something like $500. He controls it using his smartphone. He said it is very easy to learn and use. He uses it to go to a clients place of residents and take pictures of their house and other buildings included on their policies. Claims it takes outstanding pictures and if he wants to come back a year or two later the drone will have a memory to go back to the exact location of a previous picture taken.
For $500 I think I could have fun with one, would be fun to scout some fields with it.
I do agree with the OP this GPS auto-steer stuff is awfully high priced,,,,,,,,,,, but it sure is nice :-). | |
