Subject: Re: Question on trucks crossing US/Canadian border

SC Iowa
A lot of grain haulers have gone out of business , as most farmers haul there own with older rigs

broken1961,

A lot of truth in your last statement

15-20 years I had a three ring binder full of folks who were in the grain hauling business here in our local area. 95% of those folks have either aged out or left the grain hauling biz in favor of other uses for their trucks......and of course we have seen the huge growth in farmer owned grain hauling rigs as well.

Which means we do not have the "surge capacity" of available freight that used to exist...

But I am learning a lot in a short period of time and have made some contacts this weekend....

Badger, I will be contacting you sometime Sunday PM
