Subject: Re: 72 Million Acres?

I'm in Mt Pleasant. Grew up on the west side of Cedar Rapids. In the 30 years that I've been out of kindergarten it's been insane what has happened to the west side of CR. 3 blocks from my elementary school was a rock, a ranch house, and a corn field. Today there is probably 3 or 4 square miles of popcorn clone house development and it can be seen from my parents house, a 20 minute drive from that school. The CR/IC corridor in the next 10 years will be a 10 mile 6 lane of interstate and development. I still find 72 million acres a big number to swallow, but looking around, it's not that hard to really imagine.
