Eastern South Dakota | I just bit the bullet on two. have old GS1 autosteers in my planting tractors and to be able to variable rate plant and stay with deere I would have to upgrade planters and then buy 2600 or 2630 and pay for swath unlock and then found out that they coudn't use the GS1 for autosteer and another 5 or 6k for that unlock puts me at $10 to 12K each to get me what I want to do, plus the $ to trade my two planters. So for me the 20/20 with Vsets and Vdrives and keep the planters I have made much more sense. Not to mention that they don't only do planter control but also yield monitors in the combine as well. And I am ready to upgrade my 14 year old pf3000,s too. It really depends on were your at right now vs where you are heading to. | |
