Subject: Hagie 284, JD ATU and mojoRTK

This has been brought up before, but not with the added complication of a mojo. Last year someone said the jd atu worked find with a 284 and I'm guessing that was with the JD brown box or display system. I have an extra mojortk system that I more or less bought by mistake (glide only and the jd interface was just a can cable instead of the SRK). If an ATU, controlled by a mojortk, would work ok in a 284 it would be simpler than going hydraulic (and possibly redesigning the hyd system for more capacity) and would give me a spare for my other tractor running a mojo system.

Is this a bad idea that will just lead me to set the sprayer on fire? And now the more rational question, would I be any better off with the mojo/ATU than running an edriveTC hydraulic system on the 284? Outback still sells the edrivetc/hyd kit for less than $3000 (cheaper if I can find it used) and I'm currently using an S2. Outback's steering wheel solution isn't spec'd for the hagie and would cost much more. thanks
