Kansas
Todd,

Lets check the easy stuff first before be get too deep into this. On this series of tractor, and can be a little picky about picking up another CAN device on its network. The best way to ensure the GeoSteer will get picked up on the CAN side of the tractor is to start the tractor. Wait until you see the message on the MIDS that the Class 3 hitch is enabled. Once that message appears, hit the enter key. Wait about 15 seconds. Then turn on the Ag Leader screen. If everything is wired up correctly and the tractor side is okay, then this will work. Powering on the display and then powering on the tractor can cause issues like you are seeing.

If that doesn't work, then make sure that the translator is updated to the correct version. The install instructions will show a picture of it. If not, you need to find a dealer with CAT ET to update it.

If translator is okay, then check to make sure when you went to set up your vehicle profile, you chose CAN as the valve type. Any other choice will cause it to not communicate.

If all of the above are correct, then you need to track down the previous owner and find out if a Beeline system was ever installed. If one was, then you need to disconnect it, as it is taking priority on the CAN and not allowing the GeoSteer to get on the CANBUS system.
