Cheap plastic toolbox. Bolt them to the frame a drill a hole in the side or bottom to run cables through. You can wap up all the excess cable lengths inside the box.

I've used various toolboxes such as this for modules in various situations. A gym bag has also been used by others when the modules are temporarily located in the cab.
The modules are designed to be out in the open but the box can often be used to hide cables etc. As far as mounting them out in the open, Ag Leader suggested at one meeting to mount them sideways when possible. Upside down would seem better but they claim that the moisture actually wicks around worse than when mounted sideways

). I have modules in a variety of locations and situations without any problems. Fertilizer and high pressure washing's might be a concern but it hasn't been a problem for me.
