| Inuit, that's a problem with the metal tabs on the lid being folded in too much and touching components on the granddaughter board. You can theoretically open it up, bend them back, and put it together and you'll be good to go again. If it's under warranty I would strongly recommend you go through the proper channels like you did though. I wouldn't say it's common per say, but if you get one new out of the box that is the more likely failure in the unlikely event it's a dud. | |
