Yes, +1 on the multipath. That being said, 3000 receivers are sensitive about running older software. You need version 1.70K at least.
As far as distance, I have a couple of customers running 16 miles from a base and repeater with very little loss of accuracy.
There should be no loss of accurancy running off a repeater.
