Mechanically, that's about as simple as it gets to run 2 population rates like you are wanting to do. I ran many trouble free years with a Duo-rate but did the switching manually with a toggle switch in the cab. Biggest downfall was distractions or getting tired on long days caused an operator malfunction once in awhile.

What you want to do has been done with older style sprayer controllers. The kind that didn't require sprayer pump pulse feedback like centrifugal didn't require. You had to trick it to see a theoretical rate being applied and then when you passed into the prescription change area, the controller would signal an output voltage to change. That is the signal used to activate the duo-rate.

Condensed version, newer controllers expect to see responses when they command a change or they alarm out, sort of!

I don't know if Ag Leader systems can be dummy down and tricked to do a simple on or off signal like you need?

It is frustrating to want to do something as simple as you are wanting to do only to find out can't because the controllers are just to advanced to preform a simple binary on/off signal based on a prescription file.
