Central Illinois | Can be a very good thing. Most donation is NOT full organs, heart lung etc. majority of donation is tissue- skin, eyes, bones. No cost whatsoever to donating family. Not sure who really does pay the procurement fees.
As a funeral director I'm fine with donation, although it can be very grotesque especially full thickness skin donation. Medical school donation is another issue. Granted it is necessary, but seeing bodies chopped up takes some getting used to | |
