Subject: RE: Kansas wildlife

EAST CENTRAL KANSAS
Have seen a few more pheasents ,quail & prairie chickens this year. Some people here think it's the turkeys that are hard on the game birds. They will walk onto a nest of eggs or babies & peck the eggs or babies not for food but out of curiosity. If I remember correctly, someone caught it happening on a game camera. It's a matter of time before the hogs get here. (I'm west of Emporia) If armidillos can live here I'm sure the hogs will feel right at home. They could really tear things up back along a river or creek before being spotted.
