We never had anything but a 2009 9670 and now a 2013 s670. The 9670 had the plunger style and everyone i spoke to had to kill power to it in dirty conditions. Im not sure if they ever updated or redesigned it. the s670 has a small auger that takes the sample i believe. similar to the one we had on our 2002 2388 International combine
