You can get a tip that is the same style as a pioneer tip but it is open for so that there is zero pressure on the case drain, I had a 1790 planter that was new in 04' that used that style it will do the exact same thing as the new style flat face couple and pretty sure the only reason JD changed it was to prevent putting the case drain hose into a regular remote cause if you pressurize it by accident oil comes out of the wrong part of the orbit motor and for some reason it doesn't work right again, so as long as you are careful you can get a tip and use the setup you have but just as an extra safety precaution I would switch to the new style flat face coupler on the tractor that way that one time when you are in a hurry or just are not paying attention when hooking up hoses you will not wreck a motor.
