Dearfield Co.
I have done both ways----------put it in the furrow with the seed and on top the row putting down 40 lbs of nitrogen and 40 of phos and it worked good but moisture was timely . Last year I put on 75 lbs of 40 rock fertilizer along with the seed thru a old 775 jd air drill I bought at a auction. Even with non optimum conditions I like this the best. As far as it separating out never seen it in the past and have done it about 10 years. First time I did it was in the 80s after I saw a bunch of people drilling in July in montana and I asked. Once I figured out I could blend it I tried it. You have to use a hydraulic drill fill auger though as electric won't pull the heavier product.
