| hello all, i read this site daily but never post. i purchased a new 500 with ez-steer this spring for my Case IH MXM175 to plant with. it has omnistar xp signal. First off i would like to say a HUGE thanks to delles99 who posted a few days/week ago about the GPS update rate in the status menu. my first day and a half or so was spent wondering if i had made a huge mistake w/ constant weaving lines that looked like a drunk monkey. my salesman and his staff had no idea either and were ready to start replacing components. i had just read this site and delles99 mention that the update rate needed to be 5HZ. Mine was on 1HZ. the next morning after a hard restart like he or someone mentioned, followed by complete calibration, the system performed outstandingly. the 160 acre field is half me driving the other half it driving. NIGHT and DAY. and i'm fairly particular. to sum up... i would recommend this setup for anyone who does not have a autoguide ready tractor... however i do have a magnum 275 w/ pro 600 autoguide and much prefer it. Thanks again to this sight and its knowledgeable posters...
