The breather for the fuel tank is plugged. It is probably located right above the rear axle, not the best place for them if you drive on any dirt or gravel roads. Had the same problem with a GMC PU I owned, had to move the breather. GMC has a kit to move it from where it is at to up by the engine under the hood. Have seen others make a system on their own to do the same thing.
