Story City, Iowa
The summer before seventh grade I was weed eating around the farm with shorts on and bare foot when my dad called me over to help get a grading attachment off the skidloader... one lever came easy and the other was stuck.... I still don't know why and neither does my dad but he lifted the boom and angled the bucket perpendicular to the ground.... I grabbed the lever and 500 lbs dropped 3 ft down half way between my toes and ankle. Blood everywhere but after pins skin grafts and many dressing changes I wasn't able to play football that fall but ended up being all state as a senior and even played a year of college
