North Central Kansas | I just got in from doing my yard.
I got dad's old IH 1959 460 out. 16,000 hours and going strong!
As of today no motor work done to the old girl. I had the water pump replaced on it last fall.
Last summer I gave her a general tune up. New plugs & plug wires, new distributer cap,
She won't win any beauty shows, but she can tell lots of stories.
I can recall as a kid we would widen out her wheel base to 120" so dad could furrow 150 acres of silage, and then put them back.
I have no clue how many bucket loads of silage it has had in it. That was its primary job. From day dad bought it till we stopped with cattle in 1992.
It has a quick hitch on it with the hyd up/down so the blade that you see on it works great for snow moving. Last fall I added about 8" to each side of the blade. It just would not push out past the width of the tires. We also use it for pushing up a ridge pile along the back side of the irrigation pipe.
