It looks to me like the pro 600 will fit on the same bracket that my UD+ was on.
You're right, you could cram it in, but... The 600 is taller than the UD+, so it doesn't fit "right", and the Pro 600 is heavier than the UD+, meaning that the bracket was not designed to hold something heavier (especially if under extra tension from being wedged up against the headliner). Nothing says you can't put the 600 on the UD+ mount, but it's not recommended.
