Can you use different data layers from different years? Yes happens all the time. Each one weighted? Yes, whether that's by scaling the original data in the tree or by weighting it in the actual equation.
Peicewise equations? Check out the range and logic wizards in the equation editor to make this easier but shouldn't be a problem. Can you accommodate soil types? Yes. They would be a selection list (very long one) or you would type in the names you needed. Most of the ones I run I'm using the soil type data, but using numeric values like CSR or shorter selection lists like drainage classes. (poorly, somewhat poorly, etc)
You can pretty much use anyone's state recommendations if you get them written as and equation in SMS. If you know of people that are already doing it they can send it to you and all you do is import it. I know they have some samples of ISU, K-State and some Tri-state (not sure which 3 states) equations if you go to an Advanced training. | |
