Wisconsin | Honestly there isn't anything wrong with the Trimble. Its worked for 4 years for us. The reason we are looking at a Deere system is since we are all Deere its a lot easer to move GPS from one piece of equipment to another without spending $1500 on a kit for every piece. We are moving to a 60 series combine, so we will be able to use it for harvest too, allowing us to justify the cost a little more. I will also be able to clean up the cab with less monitors during planting.
I feel the service in my area will be better with Deere as well. The Trimble guys in my area are spread pretty thin.
Thanks for the link 690KSU....unfortunately it looks like there isn't any coverage of mywayRTK in Wisconsin. Jason, glad to hear that someone is out there using cellular from Deere. How has it been performing for you?
