WC Illinois/SE Iowa | Not sure on the brand that he has, but my ex FIL has a drill press and lathe he had shipped from England back in the 70's when he was stationed over in Europe. He got it from a factory that was closing down and the lathe was old then. He doesn't use it every day, but maintains it well and that thing (lathe) is still going strong today. He and his son did install a foot switch on the drill press back in the early 2000's when his son about cut his finger off because the switch was not located in a user friendly place.
Edit: Just remembered, Im pretty sure the machines were actually German, because all the settings were in German and my exFIL had to figure all that out on his own.
