Iowa | I have a shars quick change tool post on my south bend and it seems to be alright for this farmer anyway. Ebay or an estate sale is probably the best place to get quality used stuff for an affordable price. I see your lathe is sitting on the floor, I bought some leveling feet and a machinist's level to level mine. I'm told they will turn a tapered work piece if twisted. Is that a thread dial on yours? I've been teaching myself to cut threads but get to stop and reverse it every cut as I don't have a thread dial. If you're learning like me, there are tons of useful videos on youtube. Good luck and enjoy it, it's a hobby that is coming in very useful at times in the shop.
