Go back to June of 2012 and look at the corn market. It may not have been as extreme, but when you have pens of eating critters, it felt as bad. I would wager a very large bet that corn price change cost livestock feeders magnitudes of money more than the extra dollars crop farmers are spending now to heat their homes and shops.
And if you think you could sell for a profit after feeding that corn, you're nuts.
