What an awesome toy! Whats the story with the 8v92 detroit powered big buds? They seem to be the last ones to sell alot of the time. Do they not have a good reputation or people just prefer cummins?
The 747 the largest Big Bud used a Detroit for fitment issues in the drivetrain. The Big Bud engineer Keith Richardson I believe is his name was a Cummins guy, but remember farmers could custom order them with what powerplant they want. The 650/50 here exclusively used a Detroit 12V92. Cummins I believe was the most prevalent engines used, thus the 525/50 was the most prolific of the buds using cummins kt1150. The 747 had to use the 16V92tt to fit in the driveline. |
