SW WI
I bought a DJI Phantom last March, and use a GoPro Hero 3 Black. I use it for crop scouting early on, but mostly for identifying planting, tillage, application mistakes that may have been made. Later in the season it works well or looking at crop stress i it starts to get dry like it did here. We had had a wind storm come through in mid September, and it worked extremely well or identifying how much damage was done. For this coming year I will be adding a remote display or FatShark goggles. The reason why is the Phantom always looks like it is farther away than it actually is; with the display/goggles I will be able to navigate farther out with out loosing it in the sky line. ...............and yes.....I did loose site of it twice last summer...........I simply turned the transmitter off, and it returned back to me just as advertised.
