I told him I would rather have a discount for cash. He told me that there was no cash discount, either take the 7 years 0% or don't, price was the same.
I wasn't able to figure out why the car company wanted to do it, but I bit on the deal anyway.
I had the same situation, with the same end result. The pickup was paid off a few months later because it got a old sending out one more check every month.
