"No wonder we are looked at like Chicken Little's. After all, can't happen here."

It's sad, but the notions voiced by folks like Idea1947 are refelctive of the large mjaority of people in this continent.

The sad part, is that if you were to rewind the clock 10 years ago, and tell him and those like him that the FED and every other major central bank in the world would be printing money out of thin air to buy govt bonds to stave off sovereign defaults, he would likely tell you:

"you're crazy, that won't happen, everything will be fine and they'll figure it out....the deficit will be reigned and corrected before anything like that can happen"

These people live in a constant state of denial, because of fear. They want to pretend that everything is ok and that the state is looking out for their best interest, even until the last peice of property they own is ripped from their hands.

It's truly sad to see, and it angers me very much, because it is this very mentality that enables the theivery to continue unabated, term in and term out from adminsitration to adminsitration. It would be different if they couldn't comprehend or were incapable of understanding, but it is another thing entirely to outright dismiss the truth in favor of belivieng falshoods that make you feel better. Those people shouldn't be allowed to vote. They are ruining the world, literally.
