Embarrass WI
We have 2 trucks which have drag chain (live floor, self unloading) boxes. Both trucks were cement trucks in their previous lives, and came to me with the hydrostatic drive pumps, driven from the front of the crankshaft. The guy who built the boxes used IH 915 hydro drive motors to drive the chains, the motors are getting weak and I would like to replace each of them with a pair of "regular" hydraulic motors-one driving each end of the driveshaft (the driveshaft is on the small side for the load). A local mechanic(who seems to know a lot about a lot of things) told me that all I need to do is tee the hydraulic supply line and the 2 motors would balance themselves out. This doesn't seem right to me, seems like I would need a flow divider to send equal amounts of oil to each motor.

I also wondered about plumbing them in series, one after the other. As you can tell, hydraulic design is not my strong suit, so any advice will be appreciated.
