| You are right about how it seems Don. However, USDA dictates that a certain amount of time is spent telling the farmer that the check off is active. Also if nothing is ever told to the farmer he gets upset about not seeing anything about his check off dollars. It is a catch 22. I honestly don't know as much about soybeans as I do cotton check off. Check with your rep and see what percentage of the money is spent on advertising and research. USDA does an audit on the check offs on a regular basis to insure that the money is spent wisely. I am pretty sure we have talked before Don.
