| Kversh you have the right idea, the pto is a self-contained unit that is easy to remove and not too complicated to work on. The basic design goes back to the 06 series IH. You will need some guidance to do this first one without messing it up however. There are 2 short bolts that you don't want to remove because they hold the inner and outer housings together. You'll need some kind of special tool to compress the big spring over the clutch piston. You'll shoot your eye out, kid, without it. Suggest you get an ITT shop manual if you don't have access to a factory manual. | |
