I was trying to be a good farmer and change my own antifreeze, ect.  The book said to also change the thermostats at this time.  Now there was a bit of a job.  The hood had  to be lifted by myself.  I rigged 2 pulleys from the ceiling and lifted the front and the back a little at a time.  Anyway, it said to also use a cooling cleaner.  I drained the anti freeze. Added warm water with the cleaner.  Ran for 10 min.  Drained. Refilled with clean water. Ran drained.  Added new coolant.  Ran till water temp was in the middle of the green.

Now the bottle said to turn the heater on max so as to flush it also, so I did.  Now the JD book did not call for putting the heater on max heat.  Hmmmm.  Maybe I should of not done dat.   Also to get the cover off the thermostat you need to take the surge tank off or loose.  I saw at the bottom of the surge tank that one of the lines ran back towards the cab.  I figured that was the source for the hot water for the heater or maybe it was the return line for the cab heater.  Well, right or wrong I took the air line and put some air into the line.  Maybe I screwed up the thermostat controller in the cab  with that air pressure??  I did get more water to come out the engine block drain with some air pressure.

Well, maybe it will fix itself over night when I try it again in the morning.

What do you think is wrong?
