Subject: help in identifying old briggs engine.

NC Iowa
trying to identify this old briggs engine. it was on a 8x24 westfield auger i acquired. it had set in a shed for 20 years. i pulled it home, poured gas in it and it started on the first pull. it was inside the shop and the throttle was wide open and auger in gear. scared the wits out of me as i never expected it to start.

i since replaced it with a 16hp honda clone because i wanted electric start instead of a pull rope.

it has a 1" x 3" shaft. i don't see a serial plate or any casting numbers. might be covered with grease too. trying to determine what the hp is on it.
