Subject: RE: Buying and moving grain bin

Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Bradley,

I started looking for someone to move a bin to our farm early last year. Had a hard time finding someone willing to take down and put back up, but finally found someone. Once I started pushing the pencil, to construct a new bin was basically the same per bushel cost, as the tear down and installation. The way I had it figured, I would have the same labor, electrical, bolt cost, and concrete cost in an old bin as I would in a new one. Decided that buying a new bin made much more sense to me.

I know a friend of mine just purchased a new GSI bin. He is notoriously cheap and although I do not know any costs, he said the winter discount was fairly significant.

Let me know what you decide.
