Once you go to a rotor machine, you will never look back. The capacity, ease of adjusting, and clean sample are all advantages. I've owned 3 rotor machines, all red, a 1460, 2188 and now a 2388. I think the red are simpler and easier to adjust and maintain than the green, but that is your choice.
