Can't say I've ever had much of a problem with build up on the rear gang hangers on either disk. The two senerios when issues arose was working fall chiseled corn stalks in the spring and in fields with heavy weed pressure; especially water hemp and giant ragweed. Might be an apples and oranges comparison as the 340 has always had the guards whereas the white never did.
