sounds like the last good farm truck GM built. I would keep it and fix it. nothing newer will be as easy to reach into the bed as that one. Had a buddy pull the lift blocks out of his 07? F150, and it still sucks to work out of, just too tall.
I personally like one body style older, nothing as easy to work out of like a 88-98 chevy.
