the rec here has a separate rate for heat. $0.043 per kwh + a variable cost factor on the entire bill. currently the electric heat part is $0.0628 per kwh. the cheaper rate make electric much more attractive. when i installed it, the rec rep told me that lp would have to be less than $1.21 to be cheaper heat that electric.
