Subject: whisker switch? 2 prong weatherproof plug?

Mid-Michigan
I asked the question yesterday about being able to record tasks with my 2600 and drill that does not have seed star. A poster said to go to Ag Express. I did but called JD dealer first to see if they could help me if I got stuck. Dealer said that what I was trying to do is very common. He said to get a whisker switch and mount someplace (up or down on drill) and run cable to two prong weather proof plug on the back of the tractor. I will still monitor blockage with 350 monitor. I don't know where this plug is. Then do I perform operations like normal? Will my monitor recognize that I have a grain drill (once put offsets in)? Will I be painting where I've been?
