| We had a 3 bottom 16" on a 2550 2 wheel drive and later a 2755MFWD with full weights. As stated before, it needs front end weight. In our Maryland clay soils we would be lucky to pull it at 4 mph with the 27. and it was dyno'd at 95 hp. So you might need to pull the last bottom off. For ours with 16" bottoms we set the wheel spacing at 30" from the drawbar to the inside edge of the rear tractor tire each way. When we first got it, we had to rebuild all of the trips, it was relatively easy to do though.
One note: If it trips while working deep, and the fork of the reset digs into the ground, stop, get off and clean it out. Dirt packs in there and it will not hold before tripping anymore. | |
